`agnt5 command-center` manages a project's Command Center capture setting. Run it from a linked project directory, or select a project with `--project <id|ref>`.

Authenticate with [agnt5 auth login](/docs/cli/auth.md) or a personal API key for CI. Enabling and disabling require project update permission. All three commands run without prompts.

## Commands

| Command | Effect |
| --- | --- |
| `agnt5 command-center enable` | Turn Command Center capture on for the project. |
| `agnt5 command-center disable` | Turn Command Center capture off for the project. |
| `agnt5 command-center status` | Read the current settings without changing them. |

```bash
# From a linked project directory
agnt5 command-center enable
agnt5 command-center status
agnt5 command-center disable
# From any directory, including CI
agnt5 command-center enable --project prj_myproject --output json
agnt5 command-center status --project prj_myproject --output json
```

Enable capture before triggering the failed runs you want analysed. Enabling it does not request analysis of earlier failures.

## Flags

| Flag | Commands | Behavior |
| --- | --- | --- |
| `--project <id\|ref>`, `-p` | All | Project UUID or ref. If omitted, read `.agnt5/project-ref` in the current directory. An explicit flag takes precedence over the link. |
| `--source-analysis[=true\|false]` | `enable`, `disable` | Set source analysis independently. Omitting the flag preserves its current value. |
| `--output <text\|json>`, `-o` | All | Use the [global output format](/docs/cli/configuration.md). JSON is the default when piped or redirected. |

For example, enable capture with source analysis, or turn both settings off:

```bash
agnt5 command-center enable --project prj_myproject --source-analysis
agnt5 command-center disable --project prj_myproject --source-analysis=false
```

`disable` alone preserves the source-analysis preference, so enabling capture later keeps that preference.

## Settings output

Each command reports the settings returned by the API. Example JSON after enabling capture without source analysis:

```json
{
  "data": {
    "enabled": true,
    "available": true,
    "configured": true,
    "source_analysis_enabled": false
  }
}
```

| Field | Meaning |
| --- | --- |
| `enabled` | Whether capture is currently effective for this project. |
| `available` | Whether the platform makes Command Center capture available for this project. |
| `configured` | Whether the project has an explicit on/off setting. `false` means no project choice has been saved. |
| `source_analysis_enabled` | The project's saved source-analysis preference. |

These are the same settings Studio reads. If `available` is `false`, capture remains off; enabling returns an error. `configured: true` with `enabled: false` can be an explicit off setting or a project where capture is unavailable.

## Errors and automation

An unsuccessful command exits with a nonzero status. With `--output json`, errors use the CLI's `error` envelope on stderr.

| Symptom | Next step |
| --- | --- |
| No linked project and no `--project` | Pass a project ID or ref, or run from a directory linked with [agnt5 init](/docs/cli/project.md). |
| Authentication error (`401`) | Run `agnt5 auth login` or use a personal API key that can access the project. |
| Permission denied (`403`) | Use an account with project update permission for `enable` or `disable`. |
| Command Center unavailable (`409`) | Read `status` and check `available`; contact your platform administrator if capture should be available. |

Discover the command and its flags with `agnt5 command-center --help` or `agnt5 schema --command command-center`.
